Bret Watkins got into shooting Polaroid in the spring of 2017 after a fellow filmmaker gifted him the "prop" Polaroid camera from their feature film. Once he snapped his first frame (Wiltern Theater), he was all in on the instant film format, hence his Instagram handle, @intothepolaroid. His favorite camera is the Impossible I-1, the red headed stepchild of the Polaroid world. Battery issues aside, this camera got Bret into experimenting with long exposure shots, multiple exposures, and light painting. His everyday camera is the SX-70 Sonar for the colors and contrast it provides. Bret recently released "Into The Embroidered," a collection of his famous embroidered Polaroid photos.
