What is THE Instant Film Society?
Instant Film Society was established in 2012 to increase awareness, accessibility, & understanding of instant film analog photography. We do this through regularly scheduled meet-ups, "PolaWalks," and PolaCon, the world's first 3-day conference about instant film photography.
The Instant Film Society is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the art of instant photography. From workshops on different photography techniques to exhibitions showcasing the work of talented instant photographers, IFS offers a variety of events and activities for enthusiasts to connect and learn. Join us on one of our famous PolaWalks, where members gather to capture the city with their instant cameras, or attend a lecture on the history and future of instant film. Whether you're a seasoned instant photographer or just starting out, the Instant Film Society is a community that celebrates the beauty and uniqueness of this analog medium.
